what inspired the name "nova eighty five"? 

the first and only recorded supernova in the andromeda galaxy, SN 1885A. this also inspired my IG handle for my makeup page (s.andromedae). i thought it was cute to tie them together. <3

 

what are your earrings made with, are they good for sensitive ears? 

all earrings are made with a stainless steel leverback for the finding that actually goes into your piercing! i personally have sensitive ears and these findings work for me very well, but keep in mind your own sensitivities. however, extra elements on the earrings vary a lot. chains/beads/charms vary and include (but are not limited to): different types of metal, acrylic, resin, wood, glass. 

 

do you offer clip-ons, etc? 

i am not offering clip-ons, hoops, or hooks at this time. some of my earrings are heavier than ideal for clip-ons! 

 

can your earrings be worn if you have stretched ears?

i personally have fully healed stretched ears, and can wear my earrings just fine! the leverbacks work well through my bare lobes, i would only recommend that method if your stretched lobes are fully healed. they also work through silicone "ear skin" tunnels. any thicker tunnels and they may not fit through. i will hopefully be able to offer slightly bigger hoops in the future to give more flexibility in that regard.

 

how should i take care of my earrings?

keep them clean and dry! the findings are stainless steel, which won't tarnish or rust, but all other elements vary. beads/chains/charms can be fragile. some of them may be vintage, and some may b affected by heavy exposure to perfume/sweat/skincare/etc. you can always wipe them down with a microfiber cloth if you feel they need a refresh. also, don't sleep in them, it wouldn't be comfortable anyways! 

 

what is your return/exchange policy? 

no returns or exchanges, except in the event of an item being damaged in transit. i will do my absolute best to figure out the best solution for you! i cannot guarantee i will be able to remake the same earring, due to the limited nature of some beads/etc. however, i can offer a similar replacement or a refund as needed. :)

 

where do you ship to?

US only at this time, sorry to my international pals! i just don't have the bandwidth to handle wider shipping at this time.

 

how quickly will my earrings ship?

orders are processed within 3 business days, which includes M-F minus any holidays. after that, it entirely depends on the shipping provider as far as any possible delays go!
